Apart from the views from the terraces, one of the best aspects of a stay in either Amaryllis house or Manona’s suite is that you are only a 5 minute stroll from Fiscardo.
A quintessential Greek harbour village surrounded by original Venetian buildings. Most of the bars and restaurants are situated around the harbour, right on the water’s edge. There are also a couple of peaceful squares, set a little back from the quayside where you will also be able to find a welcoming restaurant, cafe or bar.
If you haven’t yet researched it, Fiscardo is the renowned harbour village at the tip of the Erissos peninsula on the North of Kefalonia. A typical Greek fishing village with a difference – The harbour side is home to an enthralling selection of restaurants, bars, coffee shops and boutiques. All in an atmosphere enhanced by a backdrop of beautiful old Venetian buildings.
Fiscardo is a heady combination of tradition and sophistication –there is still a small fishing fleet and a ferry from the mainland stops by daily. By contrast, Fiscardo is also a sought after destination for up-market yachts and motor cruisers. In the height of summer, all manner of the most opulent craft anchor around the harbour and within the bay.
A holiday in Fiscardo can be completely relaxing and totally lazy. Sit on your terrace and read or watch the boats sail past. Enjoy the special night time atmosphere and spend an evening at one of the many outdoor bars or restaurants. Choose a good vantage point and while away the hours people watching. The rich and occasionally the famous can be seen arriving on the quayside from their floating palaces to join you for a while whilst you experience the unique and alluring atmosphere of Fiscardo.
